Pitch To Us
A pitch is the idea for a story that explains what the story is about and why it is important to be covered. For us, no article pitch should exceed 500 words.
A story becomes relevant or irrelevant because of its angle — the specific question your story seeks to answer. So, before making a submission, focus on defining the angle as clearly as possible.
For photo essays, please submit 10 photographs, along with a description of the entire essay, within the same 500-word limit.
When you are ready with a clear idea and a defined angle, send your pitch to editor@thedossier.in, along with your resume and 2–3 links to previously published work.
Every contribution is paid.
We receive a large number of submissions and may not be able to respond to everyone. If your idea is a good fit for The Dossier, you’ll hear from us.
College students are encouraged to pitch.
