PITCH TO US
We publish reportage, essays, commentary, analysis, interviews, book reviews and photo essays, provided they are substantiated with a narrative.
A pitch is the idea of a story that explains “what” the story is about and “why” it is important to be covered. For us, no article pitch should exceed 500 words.
While pitching a photo essay, submit 10 photos with a description for the entire essay, also within the 500-word limit. A story becomes relevant or irrelevant because of its “angle” (specific question that your story aims to answer), so focus on that the most before making any submission.
When you are ready with the idea and a defined angle, send it to editor@thedossier.in along with your resume and 2-3 links to published work. If you have not been published yet, no issues at all. Feel free to pitch for your first byline.
Every contribution will be paid.
Please understand that we are a small team, so we cannot reply to every pitch. Therefore, you will only hear from us if the idea interests us.
College students are encouraged to apply.
Wish you the very best!
