Caste Hindus in Melaayur, Sivaganga district, Tamil Nadu, objected taking the dead body of a Dalit woman through their streets, forcing the relatives to carry the body through another route for cremation.
The incident has led to tensions in the locality, and the police have increased security. The family members protested the move by the locality members by laying down the woman’s body on the road and seeking permission to use the new route.
The district administration and the police removed the stagnated water and rectified the damaged portion in the road. Later woman’s body was cremated at the Dalit cremation ground in the village.
Caste Hindus displayed a perfect blend of their parochialism and the normalisation of Dalit atrocities in New India on the 64th death anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar. So when local authorities and civil society let these acts of primitive passion go unpunished, are they making India a step closer to fulfilling Ambedkar’s dream, as Prime Minister Modi would like us to believe or is it just another cruel irony on the democratic contour of a falling nation. займ онлайн в октябрьскомlime-займпосоветуйте займ онлайн взять займ с плохой кизайм под ноль процентовонлайн займ на карту без отказа с 18 лет
